Part One:
Part One: What are all the things these authors establish with their very first sentence? What do you know about the story that is going to follow?
“I read about it in the papers, in the subway, on my way to work, I read it and I couldn’t believe it, and I read it again.” James Baldwin
“I could tell the minute I got in the door and dropped my bag, I wasn’t staying.” Toni Cade Bambara
“The first children who saw the dark and slinky bulge approaching through the sea let themselves think it was an enemy ship.” Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Part Two:
A traveler doesn't stop at Port Bradley too much, but when they do, she still brings some enthusiasm. In a small mountainous area of the world, Port Bradley was a tiny settlement. A young lady walked down the man street road and all people could see was that she had all her gear on her back and that she liked the local tea. This small port town had normally only a handful of population who served at the docks and open seas.
Many families made their best-selling from getting fish in the large seas. People leave the time of the warm spring since it's not that Icey on the open t oceans. At around that time is when the young lady comes to the town. She has never been seen before but she is not the first of her kind here.
However Port Bradley was not an ordinary town that had one of the most delicious teas in the world. The lady who passed through last morning was no ordinary lady. She seems like a warrior from the way she walked and more importantly the way she carried herself. One thing many people noticed about her was the sword and the boots that she was wearing as a warrior. No one has seen someone likbartendere her before or even a soldier before or a true warrior from the way she seemed.
After coming the next morning she walked on the street to the local tea shop , which was called the world famous tea shop. She walked in, having a seat she saw nobody else was there but the shop worker.
The shopkeeper asks her “ where are you from, young lady”. Not responding she just gestures for jasmine tea. The shopkeeper brings her the tea and she slowly takes a sip. Afterwards she responded “I’m from the great continent and the great city on the mountains”. “Never heard of it,'' says the shopkeeper.
Fascinating responses, I assumed a match. What do you mean says the shopkeeper. Well this town is not many maps or even known to many people. Which is why I came to see the stories of some great tea before heading south. After a while of talking the shopkeeper and the Stranger get to know each other a little bit more and understand each other. The stranger was really loving the tea and considered it to be amazing. After drinking a little bit a while, she got up and geared it up to leave. Thanking the shopkeeper for her warm hosbotily she gets up and pays her bill, she walks to the door and just like she came she left in a strange manner she came in. Moving through the mist no one can see he left or even came to the town. However the town wouldn’t have to worry about her any more because they never see her again.
